I've heard it said that we can be so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good. Heaven is a future promise we truly long for, we look forward to going up there, but we must finish our work down here.

Bible wisdom tells us in Colossians 1:10 - That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

So, we must walk worthy pleasing God down here in order to get up there. But we need power to do so, Acts 1:8 says that we shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon us.

The power of the Holy Ghost produces fruit that we may be fruitful in all we do. To witness Christ is our assignment, we don't work to earn a place in Heaven, but what we do down here will be well spoken of up there. Salvation begins down here, we must confess Christ, Romans 10:9.

We must also increase in the knowledge of God which begins down here in the word of God. Finally, we must walk in the will of God down here that men may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven, Psalm 40:8 says, I delight to do thy will, O my God.

We walk worthy of the Lord down here that we may enjoy eternal life and rewards up there. Be blessed.

Our prayer: Lord I need your strength, your Spirit, and your Son, that I may walk in such a way that pleases you. Help me to let my light so shine unto good works as I am fruitful and increase in the knowledge of you. In Jesus name Amen.
