Chaos and confusion run deep in these last days. Uncertainty has taken a vise -like grip. Moral decency has very little influence leading to the breakdown first, in the home, then the community, and then society.

There is not much that is private anymore. Technology, by way of social media has "let the cat out of the bag". Everyone is broadcasting their own business or broadcasting someone else's.

When we expose ourselves, we open ourselves to attack. Especially from the unseen forces of darkness. But if we are seeking security in this dangerous world, let me whisper this, "the secret is in the shadow".

Psalm 91 is a testimony to the security of those who trust in God. We all seek security, but it seems to be elusive. There are areas in our lives where we seek security, but we often fall short, and our own efforts are never enough.

First, external security, or our physical well-being is elusive because we have very little control over our environment. Whether we are at home or when we walk out the door, we are subject to the dangers of an evil generation.

Next is internal security, or our mental well-being which is being challenged every day. What we think about ourselves, and how secure we feel about who we are makes a difference. How we perceive what others say about us or think about us can break down any sense of security we may have.

And finally, eternal security, which is our spiritual well-being is "pressed beyond measure" and is truly under fire with the battle raging and getting more intense. The devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy any sense of spiritual security we have gained since coming to Christ. It is hard to keep our guards up when the battle is brutal and relentless.

Hear me out, whether external, internal, or eternal, the secret is in the shadow.

Psalm 25:14 tells us, the secret is with them that fear Him, The Lord God.

A secret is something not meant to be known or seen, and the "gods of this world have blinded the minds of them that believe not". 2 Corinthians 4:4.

In Colossians 1: 25-27, Paul reveals this secret, this mystery. It is the Christ in you. Even the demons know this secret and tremble.

In Psalm 91:1-2, the secret is to dwell or live under the shadow, the protection, or the covering of the Almighty God, and confess our trust in Him.

Our Prayer: Father, we thank you for shelter in the storm, we thank you that you have revealed the secret hidden before coming to know you. That secret is your dear Son and our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you, Jesus, for covering us with your precious blood wherein lies the power of salvation. In Jesus name we pray Amen.
